As she uncovers her family secrets Sarah must find out whether or not she has the power to give life to the Telum Deos - an amulet that was created to fight the forces of darkness.

What I liked about this book

  • The relationship between Sarah and her dad was nice - even when they are arguing you can still tell that they are close.
  • I liked the use of flashbacks to Sarah's grandfather's past as a way to show Sarah the truth. This added an extra layer to the story.
  • I enjoyed the concept of the story.
  • Some of the scenes were quite funny and entertaining.
What I didn't like about this book
  • There isn't a lot of action happening until really late on in the story. I feel that due to the length of the book a faster pace would be better.
Overall I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to see what comes next. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes vampire books.
