I received an advance review copy for free from Booksirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Best selling author Alexander Jones is in the middle of writing his second novel and is struggling with writers block. In an attempt to help Alex to move past this, his best friend Luke and Luke's childhood friend Penny convince him to take a camping trip into the wilderness for 10 days.

An Urbanite at heart, Alex doesn't know anything about camping and quickly discovers that he is out of his depth.

Though there is one good thing about this trip, Penny. This 10 day trip will bring Alex's feelings to the surface. Will Penny feel the same? How will they tell Luke if she does?

What I liked about this book

  • The camping theme was refreshing. I've read a lot of romance/rom-coms but 10 Day is the first that I've read with this theme.
  • I enjoyed the wilderness survival information that is laced throughout the book it was informative and well researched.
  • Alex and Penny's romance was believable and relatable.
  • 10 Days is told completely from Alex's perspective. I find that, when is comes romance books that feature non LGBT couples, the narrative is normally from the woman's perspective or both.

What I didn't like

  • Some of the phrases used made me cringe and came across forced.

10 days is an entertaining read that would appeal to readers who enjoy contemporary romance novels. Readers should be aware that this book contains content which is unsuitable for those under 18.
